Sara finally finds a psychiatrist, her third. Sara comes to terms with Owen, Owen's death,

and their marriage with the aid of a third psychiatrist who is able to help her unravel the pain and guilt she carries from her life—her past, present, and future. She learns to cast off that guilt and work through her pain, especially that associated with Owen, his death, and their marriage. During this time, Sara experiences the stigmata.
